WLA's second Membership Meeting & Cape Disappointment Lighthouse-150th birthday, Long Beach - Oct. 14, 2006  

The second WLA Membership Meeting/Banquet was held Oct. 14, 2006, at the Lightship Restaurant in Long Beach. The agenda included a summary of the highly successful "Great Lighthouse Hunt" that took place in August. Winners of the "GLH" Photo Contest and Lighthouse Quilt drawing were announced. Nick Teague from the BLM was featured speaker and gave an entertaining presentation on Turn Point Lighthouse. The WLA banquet coincided with the 150th birthday celebration of Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. Numerous events celebrating the event took place at nearby Cape Disappointment State Park.
