Lightship #604, "Columbia." Build in 1950, decommissioned in 1979, the vessel spent its entire career guarding the waters 6 miles from the entrance of the Columbia River.

The "Columbia" ended its tour of duty at the mouth of the Columbia River in 1979 - replaced by this Navigational Buoy and a 1000w light. This 60' buoy was subsequently replaced in 1993.
